Mike Browne wins 2018 South African Disabled Open

Beneficiary Spotlight - Dave Rausch 
Dave Rausch, a former Royal Military Policeman, was shot through his right arm whilst serving in Northern Ireland in 1981. This hasn't stopped him from being involved in the the game that he loves - continuing to play and now working in the golf industry. Beneficiary Spotlight - John Connelly 
John suffered a serious head injury whilst on operation during Herrick 17 in Afghanistan in 2013. After beginning his rehabilitation, his condition worsened and in 2016 he was hospitalised in Germany for six months. John has used golf as a recovery tool, and despite having his initial doubts about the sport, he is now addicted - scoring a hole in one two months after he first picked up a golf club! Beneficiary Case Study - Mike Roberts 
'A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day in the office'! After being medically discharged from the Army in 2017 for various reasons, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and lower limb injuries, Mike, a novice golfer, met up with On Course Foundation at an event in conjunction with the Battleback Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire. He hasn't looked back since. Read about his on-going recovery here.

Beneficiary Case Study - Greig Phillips 
Greig Phillip's life changed forever after being injured whilst on foot patrol in Afghanistan in September 2009. This eventually resulted in the amputation of his right leg below the knee. Read about how golf has helped with his recovery, giving him his confidence back.

Beneficiary Spotlight - Richard Marsden 
Richard Marsden played golf before and in the early stages of his Military career, however, after being diagnosed with PTSD in the early 1990's he stopped playing. Two years ago he found the On Course Foundation and re-discovered his love for the game.

The BGIA’s Grow Golf Fund to Finance On Course Foundation Event Programme 
The BGIA’s Grow Golf Fund have granted On Course Foundation funding to cover the cost of four 2-day Golf Skills and Employment Courses in conjunction with the nationwide Personnel Recovery Centres (PRC’s), supporting our injured soldiers.
